The Fluke Fault Finder is an easy to use fault locator, cable and wire manager and tone generator. It instantly measures the distance to any fault from one end of any cable repair. The Fluke measures cable distance on spool and its large LED screen clearly displays distance reading, rather than waveform. An ac voltage of more than 5V rms will trigger the built in high voltage warning. The indicator light will flash when battery voltage falls below 4.1 V. If water gets on the Fluke Fault Finder, it may get inside but it will not break the device at all. It measures up to 2500 feet on most cable types, and 500 feet on very lossy cables. The tester will display "–Err" if the cable is too long to be correctly measured. The minimum non-zero length to measure cable is 2 feet. The Fluke Fault Finder will take 4 complete measurements per second, decreasing to 2 seconds per measurement based on cable size and uniformity.
