3 advantages to having a heated floor system

Floor heating is becoming the next big home remodeling trend. Homeowners everywhere are learning about the benefits of this terrific technology, which is both affordable and easy to install. If you're not familiar with floor heating systems and you're curious about the benefits, we've put together a quick list of some of the biggest advantages to having it in your house:

  • Cost: Having your floor heated is considerably less expensive and energy-intensive than running your forced-air heating system. It requires very little electricity and, when installed properly, can provide even distribution of heat throughout a room, rather than just one section as can sometimes be the case with venting.
  • Improved air quality: Forced air heating systems circulate dust through your home, which can result in increased frequency of asthma and allergy attacks if you have family members who are sensitive to these problems. Radiant floor heating systems create the same amount of warmth, but they do so without filling your rooms with dust particles.
  • Resale value: If you decide to sell your home in the future, floor heating will be seen as a major plus for potential buyers. The fact that they can move in and immediately take advantage of this amenity will be all the more incentive to pay top dollar for your home.

These are just a few of the many benefits to having one of these systems installed in your home. One of the reasons I have a hard time getting up in the morning is because I don't want to put my feet on the cold floor. I like the idea of having floor heating cables that keep my floor warm and don't shock me when I first get out of bed! I also think it's great how you mentioned that radiant floor heating systems create the same amount of warmth as other system, but they do so without filling your rooms with dust particles.
