Installing Nuheat is easy no matter which floor covering you want!

All Nuheat mats are less than 1/8” thin and are available in 120V or 240V (aka 110V or 220V), and you can install 150 square feet of 120V mats per control, or 300 square feet of 240V. Warm tiles can be yours overnight with the Nuheat under floor heating system.

Custom floor heat mats that are special ordered are "pre-built" to fit rooms with curves and angles, twists & turns and are available in less than 7 days - Rush orders can even be shipped within 2 days with expedited air service. When full coverage cannot be achieved with Nuheat Standard Electric Floor Heating mats (i.e. rooms with angles or curved walls), Nuheat is the only manufacturer of Radiant Floor Heating Systems to give you this Custom Heat Mat option to provide the ultimate in coverage and installation ease, in either 120 or 240 V. A perfect fit for your room. Simply open the box and drop the heating mats into place! Nothing could be easier!

You can use more than one Nuheat mat combined to fit any room size or shape, up to the amp limit of the thermostat (15 amps). Installing Nuheat is easy no matter which flooring you want to warm tile, stone, marble, laminate and engineered wood surfaces are all compatible with this revolutionary electric radiant floor heat system. Even carpet & vinyl floors can be heated (simply cover the mats with a thin layer of mortar). When installing tile or stone floors, the heating mats are installed directly between the tile and subfloor and require the same bonding materials that are being used to lay your tile floor, no extra supplies are needed! Once your subfloor is prepared, spread a layer of thinset and install the Nuheat mat, apply another layer of thinset on top of Nuheat, lay your tile as usual and make the final connection to the Nuheat control. Nuheat has a 25 year warranty for your peace of mind.

Laminate floors & engineered wood can also use Nuheat to keep them warm! For laminate or floating wood floors, prepare the subfloor and spread a thin layer of thinset to secure the mat to the sub floor and install the Nuheat mat in the thinset bed. Then cover the Nuheat mat with a 1/4" minimum of mortar or self-leveling cement. Now you are ready to follow manufacturer's guidelines to install your laminate or engineered wood flooring. Glue-down wood floors are also compatible with Nuheat - see the installation manual for complete details. The Harmony or SOLO can limit your floor temperature to 82 degrees F, safely below the recommended maximum temperature of most flooring manufacturers.

Nuheat in floor heating mats are powered by the broadest selection of thermostats of any under floor heating manufacturer. All floor heating controls have built-in GFCI protection for your safety. Nuheat's Programmable thermostats are full featured, and are available to control any  heated floor. The Nuheat Harmony™ thermostat is the first and only thermostat that fits into a multi-gang switch box with light switches — an industry first! The Harmony mounts Flush, inside the wall with a Decora style faceplate in a two positions (or more) box.

Can I trim the edges where there are no wires to achieve the right fit?

      Hello Skye,

Unfortunately trimming or altering the mat can void the warranty.

Thanks for your question! Please feel free to contact us again if you have any more.

      Warm Regards,

Do we need a separate electrical circuit and circuit breaker for the flooring mat?

Or can it be part of the plug circuit to the bathroom?

Our bath is small and we'll need around 15 sf of floor heating mat.

    Thanks very much.

      Hi Warren,

Each thermostat requires a dedicated circuit regardless of the size of the system.
If it is installed on a shared circuit, you will get nuisance tripping on the built-in GFCI of the unit.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions or would like some guidance in selecting your thermostat and heating elements.

      Warm Regards,
      The Warm Your Floor Team
