Within a year the thermostat started to blink rapidly, After throwing the circuit breaker it reset, only to malfunction again 2 months later. Now it malfunctions within a day. This product is a piece of crap.
We totally understand you frustration, Brian, and that this not typical of the Solo or really any of our thermostats. Please give us a call right away so we can get that replaced for you under the warranty. ---WYF Customer Care

The system works fine - the floor heats up well - too well. After less than a year, the internal relay stuck in the "On" position and the floor heated well past the setpoint, and wouldn't even turn off when we turned off the thermostat - just kept going up. Switched off the breaker and turned back on after a few minutes seemed to resolve the problem.
Next day, the schedule we programmed into the thermostat had the temperature decreasing during the day, but at the time the schedule was programmed to move from "Wake" tot "Leave", it just stayed in "Wake" and stayed on. Again, had to shut off power. Seems to be a manufacturing defect in the controller.
But the floor does get warm, so that's good.
Sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your SOLO, Ron. They are generally very reliable thermostats.

The SOLO thermostat is easy to program. The product works great in our new kitchen and the whole room is very comfy. We are happy with Nuheat and Warm Your Floor helped us on price, fast delivery, and know-how!

Installed, and working properly. However, I will reserve final judgment as this is the 3rd thermostat in 11 years. Hoping maybe this is a new design, and will not malfunction so quickly. We love the heated floors, even in the New Orleans summer!
