Indulge in the luxury of a cozy, heated floor with Nuheat's electric floor heating systems. Radiant heat is the most energy-efficient and comfortable form of heating, and Nuheat produces just that. Unlike other heating systems that waste heat in the air, which rises to the ceiling and leaves the lower half of the room cold, Nuheat works from the ground up, keeping the entire room, including your feet, warm.

Nuheat is an electric radiant floor heating mat that comes pre-built and ready to install right out of the box, making heated floors a breeze to install. Thin electric floor heating elements are sandwiched between a durable fabric mat, which is only 1/8" in thickness, making it ideal for use in almost any remodeling or new construction project. The electric resistance in the mats generates warmth and conducts it to the flooring above, which then radiates heat into the whole room.

At full power, Nuheat produces 12 watts per square foot (or 41 BTU), resulting in a floor temperature of 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit (27-32 degrees Celsius) depending on the type of application and heat loss. This makes Nuheat an economical floor heating system.

Nuheat Floor Heating FAQs

Is Nuheat radiant flooring safe?

Nuheat Mats are designed with your safety in mind. The innovative design ensures that every wire within the mat is encapsulated by two layers of insulation. The first layer is the standard plastic insulation that is required for all wires, while the second is an outer braid made of stainless steel. This braid serves a dual purpose of safeguarding the wires against penetration by sharp objects and providing a ground wire in case of damage.

Nuheat is also certified by the Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). This certification indicates that the product has undergone numerous rigorous tests to meet stringent quality and safety standards.

For ultimate safety, energy savings, and convenience, it is recommended to use Nuheat's programmable floor heating thermostats that come equipped with built-in GFCI protection.

Can I repair Nuheat if I break a wire?

Yes! It is possible to repair your Nuheat floor heating mat. All you need to do is purchase either a Nuheat Mat repair kit or a Nuheat Cable repair kit, both of which come with comprehensive instructions.

Where can Nuheat systems be installed?

nVent Nuheat systems can be installed under solid hardwood floors, countertops, and showers. Please read the appropriate installation guides and check with your floor manufacturer before installation.

Does Nuheat require a special GFCI circuit breaker?
