Warmup Cable Spacing Strips 40/Box use w/o membrane 12"L ,60-80 SF Cable
Warmup spacer strips allow the installation of Warmup heating cables without membrane.
The 12" long strips are lined up end to end to cover any size area. Sold in a box of 40, the total length of 40 linear feet allows the installation of 60 to 80 Sq Ft of cable. 3 peg / 3-inch spacing is the most common when using the spacer strips.
The pegs are spaced 1" apart, and also allow for alternating spacing, like 3-4-3-4 which accomplishes 1/2" increments; so 3-4 spacing is the equivalent of 3.5" spacing, which equates to 3 peg membrane spacing.
While the membrane is a much quicker and easier installation - especially the new peel and stick style - using cable guides is the original installation method for heating cables, before the superior membrane existed.
