Nuheat Peel & Stick Membrane Sheet Each 10.6 sq ft (3' 3'' x 3' 3")
Nuheat Peel & Stick Membrane provides the fastest and easiest installation.
Nuheat Peel & Stick Membrane installs in 40% less time than membranes that require a layer of thinset below. Eliminating the lower layer of thinset means it doesn’t ooze up through the seams and it reduces floor height. Once nVent NUHEAT Cable is installed, floor coverings can be installed on top using thinset mortar.
- Substrate is prepped with any acrylic floor primer (required)
- Peel & Stick Membrane is applied to the treated surface
- The final permanent bond is created when thinset is applied on top of the membrane when embedding the heating cable. Thinset flows through the mortar vents in the pillars, allowing it to bond to the substrate while maintaining the air gaps required to achieve the same ‘High Performance’ rating on the ANSI A118.12 crack resistance test that the standard nVent NUHEAT Membrane achieves.
Nuheat Peel & Stick Membrane is available in sheets only; we sell the sheets individually, priced by the sheet; the standard case pack is 25 sheets.
The polypropylene plastic layer features square-shaped columns which form channels specially designed to embed and hold Nuheat Cable.
Nuheat's recommended spacing in their membrane is alternating 2-3-2 pillar spacing which produces 12 watts/sqft. If you are installing over a concrete slab and desire more heat, we recommend using 2-pillar spacing which produces 15 watts/sqft. The Sq footage on a Nuheat cable is meant to be at 2-3-2 spacing; i.e. an N1C050 cable heats 50 Sq Ft based on 2-3-2 spacing in the membrane. If you space it closer, it heats less area.
Additional benefits include:
• Reduces the risk of tile cracks (‘High Performance’ rating on ANSI A118.12 System Crack Resistance test)
• Replaces one layer of plywood or cement board in the subfloor assembly
• Accommodates nVent NUHEAT Cable, cold lead joint, end seal, and sensor probe without cutting or modification
• nVent NUHEAT Cable can be installed with varied spacing for 10, 12, or 15 W/ft2 heat output
• Compatible with modified or unmodified thinsets
• ‘Moderate’ rating in the Robinson Floor Test (ASTM C627): nVent NUHEAT Peel & Stick Membrane

Install Steps
The Nuheat Peel & Stick Membrane product is simply adhered to the subfloor using its built-in adhesive. First, apply acrylic flooring primer. Second press the peel & stick membrane onto the substrate. Next, snap in the Nuheat Cable Floor Heating System into the channels of the Nuheat Membrane based on the area you want to heat. Cover the Nuheat Membrane and Nuheat Cable with thin-set and tile can be installed over the top (or use self-leveler and install other allowed floor coverings).
