Schluter®-DITRA-HEAT-PS is a peel-and-stick membrane that features a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) to bond the membrane to the substrate, eliminating the need for thin-set mortar. Quick and easy to install, DITRA-HEAT-PS integrates customizable, comfortable electric floor warming with the same functions associated with DITRA-HEAT: uncoupling, waterproofing*, vapor management, and load support to ensure a long-lasting tile installation.
DITRA-HEAT-PS combines the flexibility of loose heating cables with the ease of installation of mat systems. Cables can be placed wherever heat is desired, without creating height differences in the floor.
• Cables can be snapped into place wherever heat is desired, which significantly reduces installation time and effort.
• For optimal performance with difficult-to-bond-to substrates, use Schluter®-PRIMER-U or another suitable primer.
• Tile directly over Ditra-Heat or pour self-leveler over the top to install alternate floor coverings like:
- Engineered Wood, floating or glued-down
- Laminate
- Luxury Vinyl Tile & Plank (LVT/LVP)
- Vinyl
- WPC or Wood Plastic Composite core flooring
- SPC or Stone Plastic Composite core flooring
Membrane installation is even easier now without thin-set under the mat using Peel & Stick. To install, peel the release film off DITRA-HEAT-PS and place the membrane on the substrate. It can be lifted and re-positioned providing no pressure has been applied to it. However, once pressure has been applied the adhesive sticks the membrane firmly to the substrate. The heating cables can be installed immediately after adhering the membrane to the subfloor.
This is the ROLL of Peel & Stick Ditra-Heat membrane; it is also available in Sheets and DUO, also with Peel and Stick adhesive.

Waterproof your installation with KERDI-BAND (sold separately); cover all joints, seams, and corners of the membrane to completely waterproof the installation before applying thin-set and tile.

For INDOOR USE ONLY
Ensure your subfloor is clean, even, and load-bearing. Bond-inhibiting surfaces must be removed prior to the application of the DITRA-HEAT Membrane. For complete installation guidelines and warranty criteria, please refer to the included instruction manual or the link displayed above.
Note: The type, thickness, & format of the tile/stone covering must be suitable for the intended application and a minimum size of 2" x 2" (5 x 5 cm).
1. Remove the release liner from the DITRA-HEAT-PS membrane.
2. Apply peel and stick membrane to the floor, fleece/adhesive side down. Solidly embed the matting into the substrate using a float, screed trowel, or DITRA-ROLLER. Proper installation results in full contact between the adhesive and substrate beneath.
* When using the DITRA-ROLLER, place a weight (e.g., bags of mortar/grout or box of tile) not to exceed 75 lbs on the DITRA-ROLLER shelf. Slowly move the roller from one end of the matting to the other, slightly overlapping successive passes.
3. Abut adjacent sheets and align the studs on the top of the matting to make subsequent heating cable installation easier.
4. The DITRA-HEAT-E-HK heating cables can now be installed. Installation instructions are covered under the DITRA-HEAT-E-HK product page. Note: Tile can be installed directly over the DITRA-HEAT membrane immediately after the DITRA-HEAT-E-HK cables have been installed using an unmodified thin set. I was a little confused as to what I needed to order, so I called Warm Your Floor and spoke with Omar. He had me email him a diagram of what I was doing, and he customized the heating cable, floor membrane sheets, and thermostat to my job, so I didn't order too much or too little. The installer was really impressed when the heating cable stopped exactly where it was supposed to. I am a fan...Kudos.
Product is a bit difficult to work with if you do not keep these things in mind :
1.) The ends want to curl up when you put it down over your thinset.
2.) You cannot change the orientation of the layout once you start UNLESS you trim the excess on the long edge.
Tips:
1.) Before using, unroll entire package and re-roll it in opposite direction and leave sit for a few days before using. This way the ends do not curl up when placing over the thinset. In a small area I would recommend the squares over the roll.
2.) Using the WarmWire 3.0 and the Approximate 3" spacing pg.14 on WarmWire manual, I had almost exactly 260 square feet of coverage using 280 ft. of the 3.0 cable.
