Install Steps
All substrates must be clean, even, and load bearing. Bond inhibiting surfaces must be removed prior to the application of DITRA-HEAT. For complete installation guidelines and warranty criteria, please refer to the downloadable Instruction Manual (↖ linked above) or to the installation video online.
Note: Type, thickness, and format of the tile or stone surface covering must be at least 2" x 2" (5 cm x 5 cm).

I bought a SunStat CommandPlus thermostat for my bathroom floor heat. Ordering was fast and easy and the cost was reasonable. Installation went well. I really like the look and large numbers showing if it is heating or off. The app for WiFi is very nice and even shows the actual floor heat in addition to the set point heat. Our first SunStat was manual and served us well for over 12 years. We like the new CommandPlus even more for its ease of use and look forward to many years of use.

Floor worked great but suddenly stopped heating, called to troubleshoot but old control had gone bad. They walked me through how to replace and my floor is warm again! This control is way easier to use than the older one I had.
